The Event Block

  • Are you the one who always controls the music at the pre-party? Do you know what gets people on the dance floor, or just have a passion for setting the vibe?
    Then the SC DJ role is for you!
    As SC DJ, you’ll help create the party—setting the mood with great playlists, taking song requests from the crowd, and keeping the energy high all night long.

  • Would you like to light up UKErevyen 2026? Join the show behind the light table and apply for SC Light Revue. You will experience standing behind the lighting table and help create the atmosphere in the rom. The tasks involve rigging light equipment and controlling lights during the performances, as well as directing the volunteers. You will receive training and acquire knowledge about programming lights, rigging, and also a unique experience in the revue world! It may be advantageous to have previous experience as a lighting technician, but this is not a requirement to apply.   • What is UKA i Ås without concerts with a fabulous light show? As SC Light Concert you will be responsible for concerts during UKA i Ås. You will gain insight into the overall technical part of being a light technician. The tasks involve rigging light equipment, controlling lights during the concerts, and collaborate with the artists technicians, as well as directing the volunteers. You will receive training and acquire knowledge about programming lights, rigging and much more! It may be an advantage to have previous experience as a light technician, but this is not a requirement.   • Do you want to create a good atmosphere during the revue! Then SC Sound Revue might be just the thing for you! The tasks involve setting up sound equipment and controlling sound during the performances, as well as directing the volunteers. The position requires someone who is solution oriented and enjoys collaborating with others. It is an advantage if you have some previous experience and are familiar with the sound table, but it is not a requirement. This is an incredible experience where you will meet many new people, you will gain a lot of experience, and the opportunity to call yourself a sound technician.   • Do you live for the great concert experiences, or do you want to be part of creating an unforgettable evening? Do you enjoy listening to good music, and perhaps you would like to learn more about what it takes to create a concert? By being SC Sound Concert, you get to help manage what happens and ensure that the concerts are carried out. The tasks involve setting up sound equipment, controlling sound during the concerts, and collaborate with the artists technicians, as well as directing the volunteers. The Operations Block

  • Are you cooperative and enjoy a variety of tasks? Then you’ll be a perfect fit for the Logistics & Environment Committee!

    As funkis for Logistics & Environment, you’ll be one of the people making sure everything gets where it needs to be, when it needs to be, during miniUKA and UKA i Ås 2026. Your tasks may include transporting goods and equipment, setting up recycling/environmental stations, managing waste, or even driving artists to and from Ås!

    This role is for someone who likes to roll up their sleeves, be part of the material flow, meet new people, and help make UKA i Ås a sustainable and well-functioning festival behind the scenes.

    You don’t need any special experience, just a positive attitude, reliability, and a desire to contribute!

  • Are you practical and enjoy working with others? Then this position might be perfect for you. As a Carpenter Offical, you’ll be an active contributor helping to shape UKA i Ås. In this committee, you’ll be doing a lot of carpentry, assembly, and repairs during miniUKA and UKA i Ås 2026. We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. This is a great role for someone who enjoys creating something others can appreciate.

  • We are looking for motivated and hard-working individuals to join our rigging team. As a crew member, you will be an essential part of the team that ensures all equipment and areas are ready for use. You will work closely with the Deputy Head of Rigging (NK Rigg) and the rest of the team, contributing to efficient, safe, and high-quality rigging operations. The main tasks include setting up and taking down fences around the tents at Storebrand, setting up the loop area (“sløyfa”), preparing tables and chairs in the tent at Storebrand, and ensuring that the work area is always tidy and safe. The rigging committee mainly does not work during the party evenings

  • Do you want to help shape the visual identity of Norway’s longest festival? Create everything from Instagram posts, posters, and clothing to large banners? Then you should become a Designfu nkis!
    You’ll get to work creatively, experiment with design, and see your ideas come to life. This is the position for you if you enjoy creating, collaborating, and learning more about graphic design in a social and inspiring environment.
    It’s an advantage if you have some experience with Adobe programs. This is a social and creative role where we work closely in teams.

  • Do you think UKErevyen should be more visible on social media? Do you have any ideas on how to market it?Apply for NK Revypromotion then! You will have the opportunity to follow the revue closely and gain insight into what they are working on, and will then be the link between the marketing block and the revue block. Do you want more videos of the actors, or perhaps they should have shown more of what happens behind the scenes - you now have the opportunity to plan that!   • As SC Film, you assist the Film Manager in planning, producing, and organizing film projects for UKA and the Student Society. You’ll take part in everything from idea development and shooting to coordinating the film crew and managing logistics. This role suits someone creative and hands-on, with an interest in storytelling, cinematography, and directing.

  • As Second in Comand of Editing, you work closely with both the Social Media and Film teams to edit and finalize visual content for UKA’s platforms. You help create engaging videos that capture and communicate the energy of UKA before, during, and after the festival. This position is ideal for someone with an eye for rhythm, visuals, and sound, who enjoys creative editing work.

  • As a Filmfunkis, you are part of the team that documents and showcases UKA through video. You assist with filming, lighting, sound, and planning, helping to capture both the big and small moments. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in film production and contribute to creating inspiring visual content.

  • Do you like writing and brainstorming alongside others? As SC Editorial Staff, you will be involved in creating UkeMagasinet, and help in describing UKA in more depth. You will focus on planning and designing the magazine so that it is both nice to look at, and fun and interesting to read.

    This role is perfect if you like to write, and learn from others. Alternatively, it is also a good fit if you like graphic design together with writing. Collaboration is an essential part of the entire role.

  • This is the place for you if you enjoy writing and delving deep into things. As an Editorial Staff member, you will help to create UkeMagasinet. You will work together with others, brainstorm ideas, and edit and improve texts together to make them as good as possible.

    UkeMagasinet is a place where you can leave your personal touch, and as part of the Editorial Team, you will actively participate in shaping the finished product. No previous experience with journalism is required, but it is recommended that you both like to write and are prepared for feedback.

  • Are you a creative soul with an eye for design? Do you enjoy drawing, shaping and are handy with tools? Would you like to show off your creative talent by making props and building the coolest stage for the UKErevue? Then this position is perfect for you. As SC Stage and Props, you get the opportunity to influence what ends up on stage and help come up with creative solutions for the stage set-up. The Hospitality Block

  • The butler is an important piece of the puzzle that makes UKA i Ås’s gala dinners! We are looking for a person who is responsible and a planner. As a butler you’ll plan various dinners, everything from the big Urmiddagen to smaller more intimate dinners. You’ll be the Second-in-Command for the gala dinners, where you’ll oversee the waiters, make the schedules for the dinners, while also be a contact person for the chefs. We are looking for you who are a problem solver, initiator and a service person! Does this sound like you, then join us in the admin block as a butler!   • Do you want to be an important piece of the gala dinner puzzle? We will, during UKA i Ås 2024, have many different great dinners the guests will never forget. I need someone for the role of SC Stormiddag, where you’ll look after both guests and waiters. You can expect to work alongside the butlers during the larger dinners, while having more independence during the smaller more intimate dinners. The Finance Block

  • As SC Bank, you will during festive evenings have the overall responsibility for funkis and assist them if necessary. In advance of miniUKA and UKA, you will receive sufficient training in the payment system.

  • As bank-funkis, you will work with another person, and together you will be responsible for the incoming cash flow during the event itself. This involves ensuring that terminals are operational, and assisting with technical problems. If you are diligent, responsible and technically inclined, bank-funkis will be the position for you!
