Last Friday, a couple of full-loaded UKEcars drove up to the Red Cross house in the centre of Ås. Their cargo was 240 new UKEsweathers from 2014.

The cars were welcomed by volunteers in the Red Cross, that will hand the sweathers out for free in their different projects around Ås. The main goal is to hand them out to refugees at the two refugee houses in the local area: Bjørnebekk and Heia Refugee Housing. They lie only 15 minutes away from Ås centre, where UKA has cooperated with Refugees Welcome to Ås, participating in language exchange and inviting eveyone to the UKAevents.

Maybe UKEsweater will be the next word we learn in Arabic?
