Yesterday, we spread UKEjoy on the opening of a language exchange at Bjørnebekk Refugee Camp. Over 40 people showed up and UKA i Ås was part of teaching phrases to refugees in Norwegian. We received an incredible warm welcome from the residents and during the two hours we were invited to dinner, wished a welcome back, received a couple of hugs and everyone learned “Nice to meet you” and what “UKA” is in Norwegian. In addition, we are now able to show off a few words in Arabic, Kurdish and Tigrinya.
The participant also received a personal invite to all events during miniUKA
ونحن نتطلع إلى UKA!
We are excited for UKA!
